Washington, NC — Introducing the new gold standard of aircraft avionics protection —Gold Armor GSE is a new class of aircraft avionics cover from Sesame Technologies, Inc., offering never-before-seen longevity and protection to military, commercial, and business aircraft due to its construction from DuPont™ Kevlar® EXO™.
Kevlar® EXO™ is a next-generation para-aramid fiber with inherent flame and temperature resistant qualities. Before developing the product class, Sesame conducted a year of stringent testing, which revealed that the material provided superior protection and had the potential to offer increased product life expectancy and safety to the commercial, executive, and military aviation industries.

Key features of Kevlar® EXO™ and Gold Armor GSE include increased abrasion resistance and higher-temperature tolerance, leading to longer life expectancy, product longevity, and increased protection to aircraft and personnel in the event of accidental heat cycles.
“Kevlar® EXO™ has the potential to offer our customers life expectancy extended by as much as 30%,” said Sam Jarvis, Applications R&D Engineer at Sesame Technologies, Inc. "Our in-house testing has shown the greatest differentiator of Kevlar® EXO™ is abrasion resistance, which we believe will correlate with increased lifespan of the final product in the field.”
The initial launch of Gold Armor GSE products includes new variations of its existing Signature Products pitot probe covers, built with DuPont™ Kevlar® EXO™. The Signature Products KPC3, KPC4, KPC4T, KPC5, and KPC6 pitot probe covers will now be available in both DuPont™ Kevlar® EXO™ and traditional DuPont™ Kevlar®. Signature Products is Sesame’s product line developed for military and commercial applications.
The company plans to also produce Gold Armor GSE pitot covers as part of its Executive Series GSE, its product line for today’s high-performance, luxury elite aircraft.
