OUR TEAM
DAVID F. SINGLETON
President
David has been associated with Sesame Technologies, Inc. since 2006, when he started working with the company’s founders, Ernie and Sue Jefferson, as their small business advisor. Working closely with Ernie and Sue during the next 14 years ultimately led to the purchase of the company at the beginning of 2020. Today, David serves primarily as the company’s visionary and strategic planner.
Most of David’s time is spent as the managing principal of Seiler, Singleton & Associates, PA, a public accounting firm also located in Washington, NC. David joined the firm in 2000 as a staff accountant, became a shareholder in 2008, and became the managing principal in 2013. In 2014, David became a part of a virtual startup company, enrollmentFUEL, LLC, serving as their CFO.
David tried very hard not to become an accountant. He spent his undergraduate days at East Carolina University, where he majored in history and minored in music. Upon graduation, David discovered the low demand for history majors, and started to rethink his choice of careers. Five year later, he received a master’s in accounting from North Carolina State University. The rest is history.
When David is not working, he enjoys reading, writing, and spending quality time with his family.
